Nimmians are so arrogant, conceited beyond belief. To think Valgus would shatter his precious sun to spite them! No, Valgus would never do such a foolish thing, which is probably not even in his power to do. Instead, he tricked the gullible people of Nimm, sent them minuscule shards, and hid the sun on the other side of Song, making sure to lock the two bodies in a celestial dance that would keep Nimm from ever again seeing the sun’s rays. What Valgus did not consider, or chose to ignore, was the presence of communities at the antipodes, on the continent now known as Scorch.
