RPG Trader is committed to maintaining transparency and trust within the marketplace. When a product or its associated artwork is reported or identified as potentially AI-generated, we will conduct a review to verify its origin before taking any permanent action.
Being selected for review does not imply wrongdoing or a policy violation. It is simply part of our content verification process.

Review process
Step 1: Product flagged
A product may be flagged for review if:
-
It is identified by the RPG Trader team.
-
It is reported by a community member.
-
There is reasonable uncertainty regarding the origin of artwork, text, or other creative assets based on observable characteristics or available information.
Step 2: Request for documentation
The creator will receive an email requesting information that demonstrates the origin of the content.
Examples of acceptable documentation include:
-
Source files.
-
Early drafts, sketches, or work-in-progress images.
-
Artist credits and permission where work was commissioned.
-
A brief description of the creative process.
-
Any other documentation that reasonably demonstrates how the artwork, text, or other creative assets were created.
Creators are not required to provide every item listed above - only sufficient evidence to verify the work’s origin.
If the content is very clearly AI-generated without the need for evidence, the product may be switched to Draft status at this stage while we await a response.
Step 3: Response period
Creators must respond within 72 hours to acknowledge the request and provide the requested documentation. If additional time is reasonably required to gather it, the moderation team may grant an extension upon request. Creators are encouraged to reply before the deadline, so an extension can be arranged if needed.
Step 4: Review
The moderation team will review the submitted documentation and determine whether it sufficiently verifies the product.
Possible outcomes include:
-
Verified: The review is closed, and no further action is taken.
-
Further information required: Additional clarification or documentation is requested.
-
Insufficient evidence provided: The submitted documentation does not sufficiently establish the origin of artwork, text, or other creative assets as human-created in accordance with our policy.
Reviews may be reopened if new information becomes available.
Step 5: No response
If no response is received within 72 hours, the product will be moved to Draft status (if it isn’t already) and removed from public view until sufficient documentation is provided, and the review is completed.
The product may be republished once sufficient documentation has been provided and the review has been completed.
Good Faith Principle
RPG Trader understands that artists and publishers have different creative workflows. Documentation requirements are intended to be flexible, and the moderation team will assess evidence in good faith rather than expecting a single specific type of proof.
Our objective is to ensure marketplace integrity while treating all creators fairly and consistently.
