The Museum is a place much like any other of its kind. It houses art, antiques, statues, and even bodies from around the world, all on display for visitors to see. These items have been collected over centuries, placed inside of its thick stone walls. Designed to stand the test of time, to educate and inform.
To hoard its treasures. To feast on the emotions of the visitors. To steal and pillage far away lands for their artifacts. To live.
It Belongs in a Museum is a microgame where players either take the role of Agents for the museum, doing its bidding by stealing artifacts to be stored in its bowels, or taking the role of Reclaimers: those who oppose the Museum and seek to return artifacts to their original owners.
Gameplay is designed to be repeatable with a simple experience mechanic, with either role being playable by the same group in alternating sessions.
Rules are based on the 24XX SRD by Jason Tocci. (CC BY).
