I’ve had a customer ask if their name could be hidden/masked when they leave a review. If their could be a way for customers to put in a different name that is seen publicly but their actual name still be visible to the seller that would be great.
There isn’t currently any way to do this, and we’re reluctant to allow people to add custom names on individual reviews, or hide their names entirely. This would erode the natural trust built into reviews, and allow for potential abuse of the system.
Users can currently set their display name to anything they like - it doesn’t have to be their real name - this allows people to have any name they like already, without having to reveal their real name anywhere.
