The elders say our islands were formed when the last of the ancient dragons died. She was their matriarch, slaughtered by those who would rather see her dead than free. Her fires still burn with rage that flows down the mountains as evidence of her still beating heart is seen in the rippling shallows. A heart that sets the waters aglow and heals all those who swim in them.
