Does RPG Trader do anything with PDF security, or does it just allow customers to download the PDF as uploaded?
And if I set security on a PDF, will this be preserved in the file downloaded by the customer?

In terms of security, we ensure that download links only work for users who have actually purchased the products. When it comes to password protected PDFs, those will be preserved on upload/download. If you add that to your PDFs, it will remain in place for customers who download it.
